Around the age of 10, I was introduced to the dance style of musical theatre. We took songs from musicals and added dramatic elements and characters. This is where I realized that I had the opportunity to bring characters to life. Everyone in dance company had their own favorite style of dance and I had now found mine.
At Marist High School, I took part in Fall plays, Spring musicals, and the singing group. Before high school ended, I completed the Summer Theatre Intensive at Columbia College, Chicago. This gave me an opportunity to work with other students interested in the fine arts, while learning more about the Chicago theatre scene.
In order to train more, I started acting at Second City my freshman year of high school. I went on to take Teen Improv and be a part of the Teen Acting Ensemble twice. Of course, I couldn’t wait to be of age to join the Improv program where I finished levels A through E in April 2016. We competed (and won-yay!) in Second City’s Pillow Fight and opened for the faculty jams. In addition to my Improv at Second City, I have taken Acting and Acting for the Screen classes at The Piven Theatre and The Actors Training Center.
In 2016 I worked full-time as a stand-in on 20th Century Fox's The Exorcist for the pilot and entire season. I was Hannah Kasulka's stand-in which required me to be on set nearly all shooting days. I also worked as a photo double which allowed me to take direction and work directly with the show's director, crew, and talent. My time on set of The Exorcist was the best learning experience. At that same time I also completed Second City's Improv Conservatory levels 1 and 2.
Recently, I graduated from DePaul University where I completed coursework in the Art of Screen Acting and film. I currently perform regularly as part of the improv team Spitfire. The people on Spitfire are some of the best around! (That means you should come see us!)
